Euro Paperwork

WELL DONE UKIP NOW LETS HOPE THE OTHER PARTIES LEARN THEY ARE PEOPLE WHO LIVE OUTSIDE THE WESTMINSTER BUBBLE

The Euro Election is over and there were many candidates for the EU Election. Yet I never received one piece of literature from any of the parties? All I received was emails from UKIP and the Conservatives. These Politicians do not want to have contact with ordinary people or was it that apart from the two parties mentioned were the rest just token candidates?

I continually here the comment that we have a democratic country, how can that be when 65% of the electorate never voted? So those voted into power most probably got less then 20% of Electorate voting for them how is that democratic?

Time has come to change the electoral system:
1)   Make voting a legal requirement; you can still vote none of the above. Most of those who do not vote are just lazy but with postal voting you do not need to step out of your door. Every Individual has a duty to make decisions on how the country is run and the old answer “they are all the same” is an excuse to be lazy
2)   I would suggest that if we had the above we could work on the basis on first past the post if the candidate got more then 50% vote of all the electorate, they would automatically win the election. if they didn’t the top two in the poll would go forward to a second election with the winner taking the seat. This would give people a better choice and we would have Councillors and MP’s truly representing the majority
